1825 O-109 R.5 ANACS AU50 Capped Bust 50C ~Exciting Overton Rarity & High-end Coin! Rich, chestnut brown surfaces are very clean and hairline free, and accented with dusty rose and golden orange highlights. Subdued, satiny cartwheel luster and very minimal signs of wear. If the luster were more pronounced, this would be an easy AU55-58! Thus, ANACS has the grade correct at AU50, but its got incredible detail for the grade. Razor sharp motifs and no loss of detail due to wear, just tiny points of rub on the highest design elements. Smooth, remarkably clean, hairline-free surfaces further enhance the appeal of this Ealry US rarity. Bold double profile. A wonderful example of one the few 1825 Overton varieties to still hold its R.5 or better rating to the present day (R.5, or Rarity of 5, means between 31 and 75 are known in all grades combined). A fantastic opportunity for the specialist.
