1831 O-111 NGC AU(58) DETAILS 50C~ Crisp Slider Unc, Old Cleaning. (bx277)

If not for the cleaning, we could see this in an MS61 holder. RAZOR SHARP devices are fully rounded. The only traces of wear (more like cabinet friction) are on the reverse, on the eagle's head and edge of wing. Original luster shows throughout, and all features are crisp and clear, as struck. Light hairlines show in the open fields, but they are old and the soft golden grey patina hides them nicely. Absolutely superb for the price. Again, the obverse is fully mint state! A commanding appearance. (Note: the new NGC Details slab does not give a numerical grade; this coin is labeled as "AU DETAILS," that should not automatically be taken as AU50 Details, it can mean 50, 53, 55, or 58. This piece is clearly AU58.)
