Publisher- G. W. Mentz & Son, No. 53 North 3d-ST
stereotyped by L. Johnson
There are a few missing pages that I know of including pp 363,364,369,370 Does not appear to be any others missing but I have not turned page by page.
Inside the Bible I found small cut out pieces of paper w typed excerpts from unknown source;
"I am sure I cannot tell what the mischief I have done, As my mother, for to chide me, says I must be a nun"
"Be silenced each sorrow, and banished each tear, Intrude not thy presence while Matilda is near"
"If you wed me, we'll go and see The things at uncle Josh's, I'm sure you'd laugh to see his calf Eat up the big boil'd squashes"
May be others inside.
There is some other faded or erased pencil script on inside front cover that I cannot make out. Pages are foxed and rippled and all but a few are completly intact. Binding is loose but not completly detached.
I AM NOT AN EXPERT IN ANTIQUARIAN BOOK DESCRIPTION
MEASURES 7" x 4 1/2" x 2"
OVERALL I WOULD RATE THIS IN FAIR CONDITION.
PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS AND I CAN POST ADDITIONAL PHOTOS IF REQUESTED.
