Three quarter leather bound with gilt lettering to the spine and red, paper boards. 

The collection of papers, formerly deposited in the Scots college of Paris, from which the contents of this volume have been selected, was well known as one of the most valuable stores for the illustration of the Scottish history. 

CONDITION

The binding is tight and firm with both covers and all internal pages securely attached.  There is wear to the extremities, including rubbing to the boards and spine, and small chips to the top layer of the leather corners and spine.  Internally the pages are generally clean and bright, apart from the occasional handling mark and minor brown spot.  There are two ink stamps on the front, blank end paper, and in the margin of a few pages throughout.  There is some mild offsetting to the title page, from the frontispiece.  On the whole this volume is in very good condition.
