1835-1840 Porter Blachard Snare Drum This is an Porter Blanchard snare drum, but the snares are not present. The original Porter Blanchard label can be seen by peering through the vent hole. The drum has been restored and is in playable condition. This drum measures 18" high and is 16" wide. I'll let my photos tell the rest of the story.

I just measured it again and it is acually 17 1/2" tall from hoop to hoop. The rope adds an extra 1/2" to the over all height.
