This is an ANTIQUE LOT OF 3 1836-1860 PRE CIVIL WAR & CIVIL WAR ERA TAX RECEIPTS, DOCUMENTS, PAPERS.

These came from a number of documents, newspapers, letters and other Civil War era items from the Larsh & Campbell estate sale in Richmond, Indiana. The families were related and lived in Richmond, Indiana, and the surrounding areas of Eaton, Ohio and Preble County.

One receipt is dated 1836 and says ‘Received of W. Larsh for Lewis (Larsh) on the within $30.00 June 29^th 1836. Rec’d Augt. 26^th, 1836 on the within forty eight dollars and ninety seven cents. E. Groves Hog. Rec;d Feby. 1837 on the within Eighteen dollars. Francis King

The second is a tax receipt dated 1853. It says ‘I hereby certify that Lewis Larsh has performed labor on the Public Highways, under my direction to the amount of – dollars and .58 cents. Mills, Road Tax for 1853. Benjamin Cooper Supervisor of Dixon Tp.

The third says ‘This is to certify that Arch Campbell has performed labor on the Croffordsville Ext. Free Turnpike to the amount of Five Dollars twenty five cents mills, County Road Tax for 1860 in Jackson Township. October 20, 1860. A. Campbell Commissi (part of it is torn off).

There is some tattering but normal considering their age, otherwise they are in good condition. These are WONDERFUL ANTIQUE PAPER COLLECTIBLES!
