Rare date 1839-O Reeded Edge Bust half dollar, encapsulated as Genuine by PCGS.  The reverse is rotated approximately 170 degrees.  The coin was lightly cleaned ages ago and has since retoned quite naturally in light golden tones.  There are a couple very minor and expected circulation marks, but nothing out of the ordinary.  The coin has strong luster and quite nice eye appeal.  Apparently, A JR-2 variety in a very early die state, as there are no obverse die cracks.  Perhaps quite rare - for those with interest in such things - as this die state was missing from the Jules Reiver collection.
