This stampless envelope has a circular date stamp for BRIDGEPORT O., a matching PAID, and is addressed to Hendrysburg, Belmont co., Ohio, and has an enclosure of a one paragraph letter written by 'Rhodes & Brother'. The headline is Bridgeport Nov 3, 1854.

Some abstracts:

"Mr mc Glaughlin said you wished to know what we would sell you some sugar at    We will sell you a hhd of our Best Sugar req[????] at 5 7/8 ..."

And a little more along that line. Condition of the letter rates good. I hope the scan gives you a general idea of the condition.
