1854 Liberty Seated Half Dollar

AU50+ Condition

Note the detail in LIBERTY's dress (Her button is still visible on her right shoulder), Hair and Shield. Her right leg has not been flattened by wear, her hair still has lots of detail and LIBERTY is very bold on the shield. The Eagle's feathers are incredibly sharp with almost no wear on the top of the Eagle's wings or neck. The Red Book Defines AU as slight trace of wear on LIBERT's breast and knee, and on EAGLE's head, claws and wing tops.

Pictures were taken using my regular camera, Nikon D90 with flash and the close up pictures were taken using a Celestron Digital Microscope. I use the microscope in order for you to see everything as clearly as possible.

Shipping is 3.00 USPS 1st Class.

7 day return policy.

CA residence please add 8.25% sales tax unless you have a resale number then please provide that to us.

California bidders please be aware there is a 8.25% state sales tax we must attach. We can accept returns as long as we receive the item in the same condition it left us. Since these are one of a kind pieces - we cannot offer exchanges. If there is a problem - please contact us immediately. We cannot help work out issues if we do not hear from you. Thank you for visiting and Happy Bidding!!! Who are we...... Old Castle Enterprises, LLC est. 2008 We are a new company dealing in Antiquities, Vintage, and Collectible Art Items. Please visit our store as we list a multitude of new items for the 2009 Season! I have many years experience in collecting Vintage and Estate Jewelry. Antiques run in our family as a business and a hobby. My collection was purchased from private clients, Estate Auctions, Fine Auctions - such as Christie's and Sotheby's, and from fine jewelry stores that when a special piece arrives, they know to call me. I have also been buying Fine Art for several years. I have managed to build a sizeable collection - some works from as early as the 17th Century. Our collection varies from American Artists, European Artists and the Orient. We have Watercolors, Prints, Oil on Canvas and Board, and my personal favorite - Impressionist works. I have purchased the art for my personal enjoyment, but have found over the years, that I derive MORE enjoyment in passing the art along to friends and family. My chief enjoyment is in finding the treasures, hanging them for a time and enjoying them in our collection, then, finding them new homes with new owners to enjoy. I feel the same way about my jewelry - I buy it, enjoy displaying it and sometimes wearing it for a time, but then I enjoy more, placing into someone elses collection. My husband has been a collector of Rock and Roll memorabilia for many, many years and idolizes his Beatles collection. He also has quite an extensive collection of coins. Some will be listing for sale through this site. His artistic tastes are more modern then mine. He appreciates the Art Deco decor and paintings with a Picasso flare. He also enjoys War Time Collectibles. Between the two of us - we have such a wide range of tastes, we decided to open a small store and share our findings and make them available for purchase on occasion. Some things will be listed through Ebay and some strictly through our Web Site. Our knowledge and descriptions are based on what has been shared with us from our vendors and art houses. We cannot guarantee the stories or histories to all be absolute, only the mythology of the piece as we now it. It is not our intention to deceive our clients, only pass on a piece of history or art work as we know it to enjoy in their lives and collections. Many of our pieces have been appraised, hold certificates of authenticity, or are artist signed. Some pieces have been appraised by professionals, assigned values by auction house appraisers, and other pieces are so unique, their value lies in the artisans craftsmanship, the era of the work, the region of the work, and our own perceived value of the piece. Everyone has their own 'perception' of value. I have been known to 'negotiate' a price, but in general, our pricing is fair and accurate for the item listed. We will entertain offers - so don't hesitate if your 'perceived' value is less then what we have listed. There is no harm in asking - right? LOL We appreciate hearing from our clients and our best compliment is in our repeat customers. We appreciate all positive feedback which is gratefully returned. Return and shipping policies are stated w/each item, but because our items are unique and one of a kind, exchanges are not an option and are not available. We hope you enjoy reviewing our collection as much as we enjoyed collecting the pieces. If you are looking for something 'unique' and would like to see if we might by chance have it or know where we might be able to find it - we welcome your inquiries.
