Naturally pretty bronze coin with pleasant eye appeal - some hints of past luster peak through deep red brown color
Honest, light wear even in nature and wonderful even glossy brown color with a hint of red
Harder to find early issue of the mid-19th Century 2nd Empire period France
Wonderful Napoleon III coin for any World collection!

The scanned images depict this coin fairly well, but can't due justice to the overall appearance of this FIVE CENTIMES coin from FRANCE, issued in 1856, mintmark D. Early bronze coin with pretty red brown color and nice eye appeal for the fine grade. Solid coin has even fine detail, with honest, light wear and below average marks. Looks better than the grade. Will be a nice addition to any French, European or World collection. Obverse depicts head of Napoleon III facing left in dotted circle, date and legend. Reverse coat of arms and date, mintmark. Terrific bit of history for any collection at a fair price. My husband is terminally ill with cancer and I am closing down Charlie Bear's Coin Shop to devote more time to my children and art.
