PLEASE understand that each order is for one coin for $2.49 per coin; 2 coins= $4.98; 10 coins = $24.90, 100= 249.00, etc. My price has been dropped yet again from 3.69 to 3.19 to $2.79 and now to $2.49. This price drop is even though book value on common Indian Head Cents more than doubled in January 2007. I'm motivated to sell and give other collectors a chance to have some really great coins at a low price!!! Get them now while they are still priced low!! Once these are gone, I have no more. I’ve seen other dutch auctions right here on EBAY going for $3.99 per coin, so this is a fabulous deal. I’m a private collector and believe in sharing nice coins at nice prices to other collectors. This lot features more diversity than any other lot on EBAY. Good luck!!
I accept PayPal, certified checks (cashier’s/bank checks), money orders. I do not accept personal checks anymore because there have been too many problems with insufficient funds. Certified checks and money orders must clear before I ship.
So far, I've sold more than 1350 of these cents to more than 100 buyers. For EBAYers with less than 10 positive feedbacks who pay by Paypal within 12 h of bidding, I will throw in an extra Indian Head Cent coin from 1859-1909. I'm doing this to help make this a very positive experience for newcomers to EBAY. For all others, I might throw in an extra coin(s) depending on how many you order, but I don't promise this. I'm doing this for fun, to stimulate the hobby.
Buyers have received 1859, 1860, 1865, 1868, 1874, 1879, and many other pre-1880s; plus many VG, F or better coins from the 1880s to 1900s. Four people have gotten 1888/7 overdates. Good luck and I hope you get a date you need!!!
Dates guaranteed to be in this lot of coins:
1859 Copper, 1860 Copper, 1862 Copper, 1863 Copper, 1864 Bronze rounded bust, 1864 Bronze pointed bust (L may not be showing) semi-key, 1865, 1866 semi-key, 1868 semi-key, 1873, 1874, 1875, 1876 semi-key, 1878 semi-key, 1879-1909 (including BOTH 1886 varieties, and the most difficult 1880s coin, 1885; 1894 and 1909 semi-keys). There also are common and rare varieties in here, so look carefully at your coins if you win! There may be other pre-1880 dates in this lot that I may have missed, including possible Flying Eagle Cents.
These coins are 99 to 149 years old. Get a piece of history while it is still around.
The coins grade from cull/about good to VF-EF. There are definitely many coins in here that have partial to full Liberty. Some coins show nice detailed feathers and one or more diamonds. There also are coins in here that are discolored, pitted, corrosively damaged, cleaned, bent, partial date, etc. I’d honestly say the average grade over the whole lot of coins is G-VG. I’m trying to describe this as honestly as I can. If you look at the other Dutch Auctions on Indian Head cents, very few details are provided, so you don’t know what you will be getting. I’ve seen many customers complain about other Indian Head Cent lots. I want to make sure you know what you are bidding on, and that you are happy with what you get.
If you order multiple coins, I’ll try to give you a good mix of dates and grades, but no guarantees. Obviously, if you order a lot of these, you will get multiples of the same dates, but there will likely be various grades, so you can build a higher than average circulated set. I cannot fulfill requests for specific dates, because all the coins are mixed together.
Shipping, handling, insurance
I strive to keep these costs down and have held my shipping costs for more than a year, despite postal rate hikes. I live >10 miles from the nearest post office, and that one is closed on Saturday. I can therefore only ship Monday-Friday. Believe me, I lose money on the S&H and fees, even if it is sent to you in a 41 cent envelope. Shipping will be flat $2.75 plus just 5 cents for each additional coin. Insurance will be a flat fee of $1.50. Insurance is optional for 100 coins or less, but is required for 101 or more coins. For winners of 100 coins or less, opting out of insurance is AT YOUR OWN RISK. I am not held responsible for lost coins in the mail if you do not get insurance or delivery confirmation. While my S&H charges are not the lowest on EBAY, they are definitely lower than more than 75% of the folks who sell coins. I challenge you to look around. Most people are at $3.00 or even $4, $5 or more to ship one coin. I buy coins on EBAY as well, and I like dealing with sellers who keep their S&H charges low.
Returns
My goal is for this to be a postive experience for you. Please email me first if you are unhappy. I will accept returns within 7 days of receipt, but you will have to ship at your expense and communicate with me. So far, only one return out of 95+ transactions has occurred.
Feedback
I only leave feedback after you leave positive feedback first, which tells me you got the item and you are happy. I respect that you may not wish to leave feedback and that is your right. Please email me if you are unhappy before leaving a neutral or negative feedback to see if we can work something out. I want this to be a positive experience for you.
