Description: It is an original engraved antique map with handcoloring as issued from Joseph Meyer's Zeitung Atlas, 1859. It is not mounted nor matted, being sold as a single sheet as seen in the first pic. The maps show the river basins, the drainage of the major rivers.
Size: The map is on a 8 1/2 by 11 1/4" page as seen in the pic.
Condition: The map is in Good condition and some light tonal ageing with a slight darkening around the edges. There are three vertical folds as issued. Title is slightly clipped along the top and the bottom margin is tight. Other than some handling around the edges, the map is very clean with bright color, blank on the reverse. The number is neatly handwritten in the top right. Overall, a very nice map that will frame up well. See the pics, which shows all.
Payment Details: We accept Money Orders, Paypal and Personal Checks from buyers with a positive feedback record. We only accept credit cards and bank transfers through Paypal, see links on page. International Bidders are welcomed and encouraged, however we do not accept bank to bank transfers because of the high costs in the US unless buyers wants to pay the $20 fee. If another payment method is desired let us know in advance and we will try to accomondate. Payment is expected within 10 days. Nonpaying Bidders will be reported to Ebay and negative feedback will be left.
Shipping: $5 for Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation in the USA and $5 by International Airmail to elsewhere in the world. Insured Priority International Airmail is $10. Italy: Shipments to Italy are currently taking 4-6 weeks, we highly recommend Priority to Italy. Please note these rates are very close to actual postage rates. No additional postage on multiple maps shipped together with the first, so we will ship as many maps as you want for one $5 or $7 shipping Fee depending on the largest map. Free Shipping on purchases of 5 or more maps. We do ship daily so let us know if you are still bidding and want us to hold until all auctions have ended to save on shipping.
Insurance rates: We recommended and offer optional low insurance of $2.00 for up to $100 of value and $3 up to $200, etc; For international buyers who desire insurance, the Priority International mail is the best option since Insurance is included.
