1860 Antique Song Book sheet music rare Longfellow 1st?

This auction is for a wonderful antique songbook: The Nightingale - A Choice Collection of Songs, Chants and Hymns!  It is from 1860.  It is by W. O. and H. S. Perkins and was published by Oliver Ditson and Co. at 277 Washington St. in Boston.  The book has a hard cover and is bound with a strip of very soft leather or paper.  It measures about 5" x 7" and is around 200 pages long.  The book is well worn.  It has wear and tear from age, and a number of the pages are loose from the book.  There are also some pages missing (but none of the songs listed below are missing).  There is a name written inside the back cover that looks like Ambrose Devereaux of Springfield, MA. 

The book is "designed for the use of Juvenile Classes, Public School and Seminaries containing also a Complete and Concise System of Elementary Instruction."  There are pages on Musical Notation, with scale diagrams, practical excercises, and more.

The book contains well over 100 songs.  I believe the music is for voice or piano? 

One of the rarer songs in the book is a chant for the poem The Reaper and the Flowers by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.  This poem was originally published in the book Voices of the Night in 1839.  Music was made for the poem here by W. O. Perkins.  Perhaps this is the 1st appearance of the poem set to music?  Please see photo below.
