Description: It is an original antique Weekly Dispatch map with handcoloring as issued. These maps were original published as a supplement to the Weekly Dispatch Sunday Newspaper. The map is designed by T. Ettling, F.R.G.S., as stated in the title block. Originally, these maps were published weekly as a supplement to the newspaper for collectors, who could combine them into an Atlas. This map was issued in two sheets that have been joined in the center. The map is not mounted nor matted. Overall, A Beautiful Map that will frame up nicely.
Size: The map image measures approximately 16 by 24 inches on a 18 1/2 by 25" page as seen in the pic with a margin all around for framing.
Condition: The map is in Good or better condition with some crimping along the right edge and a slightly bent upper corner, nothing affecting the map image. Otherwise, the map is very clean and will frame up nicely. It is a nice impression with good color, blank on the reverse. The map is printed on good paper, very pliable. The pics are of the actual map.
Payment Details: We accept Money Orders, Paypal and Personal Checks from buyers with a positive feedback record. We only accept credit cards and bank transfers through Paypal. International Bidders are welcomed and encouraged, however we do not accept bank to bank transfers because of the high costs in the US unless buyers wants to pay the $20 fee. If another payment method is desired let us know in advance and we will try to accomondate. Payment is expected within 10 days. Nonpaying Bidders will be reported to Ebay and negative feedback will be left.
Shipping: $5 for Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation in the USA and $5 by International Airmail to Canada. $7 for International Airmail elsewhere in the world or $20 for International Priority with Insurance. Please note these rates are very close to actual postage rates. No additional postage on multiple maps shipped together with the first, so we will ship as many maps as you want for one $5 or $8 shipping Fee depending on the largest map. Free Shipping on purchases of 5 or more maps. We do ship daily so let us know if you are still bidding and want us to hold until all auctions have ended to save on shipping.
Insurance rates: We recommended and offer optional low insurance of $2.00 for up to $100 of value and $3 up to $200, etc; For international buyers who desire insurance, the Priority International mail is the best option since Insurance is included.
