This is an 1861 United States of America silver Half Dime. The image on the front is pretty close to the actual coin, the back is a little blurry. On the front you can still see the lines on the shield. There is no mint mark, so I'm assuming it was minted in Philadelphia. This was minted before "E Pluribus Unum" and "In God We Trust" were added to our coins.
