Details

We welcome your bids on this rare $1000 Confederate Bond sheet with fifty-nine uncut $30 coupons still attached. This 5th series, Civil War bond (no. 5974) was authorized by the CSA Februrary 17, 1864 and is missing one coupon at the bottom right corner.  This bond had an interest rate of 6% per annum. 

  • The sheet with attached coupons measures 27 7/8" long x 16 3/4" wide
  • Cut out section measures 2 1/8" long x 3 1/8" wide
  • Paper is in fine condition with spots of discoloration and slight wear/folding along the edges.
  • The entire sheet is folded lengthwise once
  • All signatures are legible with only slight fading to the ink
  • Each coupon is for $30 with 6 months interest
