Document reads:

Know all Men by these Presents, that I, Edward Daugherty of Gilpin County Colorado Territory in consideration of the sum of Five Thousand Dollars to him in hand paid by J Fred Pierson of Same place the receipt whereof he does hereby acknowledge have remised, released and forever quit claimed, and by these presents do remise, release and forever quit-claim unto the said J Fred Pierson heirs and assigns, the following described property, situated, lying and being in the county of Gilpin, Territory of Colorado, to Wit: An undivided one half Interest in all of the following described Lode mining claims situated in (Districts and Lodes written on the document are) Illinois Central District - Quebec Lode, Wolf & Broech Lode, Gold Hill Lode; Central City District - Jo Gonzales Lode, Sunday Lode, Success Lode, Kelso Lode, Naperville Lode, Josephine Lode, Aretta Lode, Welty Lode; Nevada District - Herring Lode; Gregory District - Monarch Lode; Russell District - Snowy Range Lode
