DATE: 1864... From the rare Johnson Family Atlas printed in 1864 - NOT a later version. There is an even older copyright date on the map: "Entered According to Act of Congress in the Year 1863 by A. J. Johnson in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the United States for the Southern District of New York". This GREAT Map was made and HAND COLORED 144 Years AGO !!! THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION.

DESCRIPTION: Heavier paper with a gorgeous ornate border.
SHEET SIZE: about 13.5" X 17" . GORGEOUS Decorative Border!
CONDITION: GREAT CONDITION !!! NO TEARS - NO FOLDS - NO CREASES !!! There are a few light spots of foxing on the map but mainly in the outside margins. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED ! A REAL ANTIQUE! THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS AND BEST AMERICAN MAPS MADE DURING THE CIVIL WAR !
