Old master genre painting- an interior scene of a boy helping his grandma to spin the wool, while his mates calling him to go out! a dog watching the spin too! Very expressive painting with lots of good details, great composition and fine faces!

George Smith is a well listed British Artist, listed in Davenport, Askart, Artnet etc as a master of Genre paintings, portraits, kids, farms, landscapes etc- listed up to $20,000,. most of his small paintings sell in a range $3,000-$6,000

     Painting Size is about 10 1/4 inches  by 8  1/2 inches 

    framed Size :16 1/2" by 15 inches

 

Condition: painting- in good condition, with just a few very small touch ups,  minor discoloration, two fleabite dings, but no major problems, no over-painting restoration- no need to invest more in it!

paint is strong, well preserved, no missing parts.

Framed nicely- original antique heavy ornate frame!

Sorry for quality of pictures- I had to use a flash, so it gives a lot of small white dots/ reflections - you will not see them on a real painting!  

some places it looks bad because of the flash, but if you will scroll thru all the pix you will see the original  is in a very nice order.
