1871 Swan & Fitch Faneuil Hall Boston Ma Trade Bison

Rare Trade Swan & Fitch Faneuil Hall Boston 1871. I found this piece many years ago in the Boston area in a house that burnt almost to the ground. I found it pulling a wall down - it was sitting there untouched by fire and human hands for all those years and it was given to me as payment for my work. This bison seal stamp is solid bronze and is marked: July 25, 1871 patented. It measures about 4 1/8" long, 2 3/4" high and 2 1/8" wide and also quite heavy. It is in flawless condition for its age. I stamped a thin piece of aluminum. foil - a little hard to see in the photo but the seal is clear & crisp. It reads: Swan & Fitch Dealers in Poultry & Wild Game 1 New Faneuil Hall Market Boston. I have had many offers for this piece over the years.  This is museum quality and a very rare and valuable piece of history.  This bison has ben returned to the safe deposit box before this listing had started.
