1.Description: Original 1872 table medal.
2. Catalog number:2423-09.
3. Condition of Item: Good overall condition, couple of rim nicks - please see image file.
4. Identification:  This Semi Centennial medal was struck by the US mint.   The run was only 300 medals. 
5. Other Information: The medal reads "AC Washington Grays Militia Semi Cent'l Anniversary April 19, 1872" along with "To our Fallen Brave".  On the opposite side "Lt Cols. Martin, Whelan, Hawkins, Hall ~ Majors - Chandler, Suplee, Wood ~ Captains - Warner, Airey, Knesass, Walker ~ Lieut's - Sill, Brinley, Bowen, Engle, Pollock, Scott, US Vols.".  The medal measures 2" across the face and is 1/4" thick.  Please check out my “About Me” page and visit our ebay store!
