The scanned images depict this coin fairly well, but can't due justice to the overall appearance of this early FIVE FRANCS coin from BELGIUM, issued in 1873.  Pretty even white somewhat lustrous SILVER with tons of eye appeal for the extra fine grade. Below average marks for grade and strong eye appeal. Very light wear here and lots of pizazz. Superior coin for the extra fine grade with borderline AU detail. Hint of pretty gold at very rim edge we like to see on a quality coin. Solid coin will be a welcome addition to any Belgium or European collection.  Obverse depicts Leopold II, head facing to left, and origin. Reverse crowned coat of arms within wreath with value and date. Fantastic find for any European collection. So hard to find this issue in this nice of condition...we will not give it away. This item was part of my husband's collection. He is terminally ill with cancer and wants me to sell all of his private collection, coins and currency. I have three minor children to raise and so I comply.
