Up for auction is 1875 the Life of JESUS CHRIST by LOUIS VEUILLOT written in French. This is truly a magisterial book of the life of JESUS CHRIST. This book measures 8.25 inch x 11.25inch x 2.25 and it is very heavy and large. This book contains 180 engravings by famous E. CARTIER. These engravings are magnificent and I have tried to take as many pictures of the engravings I could but the picture gallery that I’m using only allows twelve pictures. But this is truly a masterpiece not only in collection of the engravings but also in its writing. As it is in the New Testament, this book illustrates word for word the life of JESUS CHRIST in writing along with magnificent engravings. I just cannot emphasize enough on these engravings because I have never seen as many engravings in one book. As you can see from the photo, there is a two page that unfolds into a poster like engravings that are just phenomenal. This book is in a great condition as you can see from the photos. There are minor flaws as with all the rare books such as some foxing. The binding is tight and everything intact.
