1877 1st National Bank Check ~ Green Bay Wisconsin ~ WI

Here is a bank check from the First National Bank in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It is dated April 24, 1877. It is made out to Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co. in the amount of $112.57. Check number 53769. Henry Strong is the president. M. D. Peak is the cashier. The back has been stamped.

It has a United States Internal Revenue 2 cent cachet in the center. There is a rip in the center, where it was put on one of those pointy receipt holders. It measures 3 5/8" x 8".
