You have just stumbled upon an awesome auction opportunity! I have been selling Estate coins for several years now and I have recently been given the chance to sell a group of coins from a Multi-Million Dollar Estate! This Estate collection contains many Proof and Rare coins, many of which will be up for auction in the coming weeks.
We have found many coins in BU (brilliant uncirculated), AU (almost uncirculated), and DMPL(deep mirror proof like), and PF (proof like) as well as many key dates.
This is an absolutely beautiful coin! You simply cannot beat this chance to own this rare and valuable coin. The value of these Trade Dollars soars into the tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars in MS66 and MS67! WOW! The low starting bid offers you the opportunity to set the price on this great coin. As you can see from the photos this coin has a well defined rim, a sharp full date, stunning lettering, a defined full LIBERTY, and awesome facial and hair details. The reverse is a must see as well! Please check the coin out from the photos and judge the actual grade yourself, then set your price.
This coin was issued for circulation in the Orient to compete with dollar-size coins of other countries. When first coined they were legal tender in the United States, but with the decline in price of silver bullion Congress repealed the legal tender provision in 1876 nd authorized the Treasury to limit coinage to export demand. In 1887 a law was passed authorizing the Treasury to redeem, for six months, all Trade dollars that were not mutilated. The law authorizing Trade dollars was repealed in February, 1887. The designer was William Barber, the coins weighed 27.22 grams and contain 90% silver. The Trade dollars were minted in Philadelphia, Carson City, and San Francisco.
BID HIGH and BID OFTEN! You won't get many chances to own a coin of this quality and value. Imagine owning this beautiful coin as the STAR of your collection!
Remember BID TO WIN and GOOD LUCK !
