 1883 KINGDOM OF HAWAII QUARTER.

This coin measures just less than 1" in diameter.

This quarter was issued by the Kingdom of Hawaii. The coin was issued for that one year--1883--only.  And, only 499, 974 of the quarters were made.  In 1900, when Hawaii became a Territory of the United States, the coins were no longer legal tender. The vast majority of the coins were turned in and melted.  The remaining coins are extremely scarce and prized by collectors!

This is an original coin, dating to the period. It is not a counterfeit nor a facsimile!

This coin was in circulation. It has not been polished.  Please examine our photographs closely, in the enlarged mode, to best see the wonderful details and condition.
