Vam Description: 1883-O Top 100 VAM-4 O Over O "O/O" Vam 4 (revised) Obverse III2 3 · Reverse C3c (O/O Down, Doubled 18-3) (181) PF:7 Popularity and R-6 Very Rare variety at MS-64 grade. The obverse III2 3 the 18-3 is doubled in date. The 1 is doubled at the top left and right plus slightly at bottom of lower crossbar. The left 8 is slightly doubled at top inside of upper loop. The right 8 set slightly high. The 3 is slightly doubled at bottom inside. The date is shallow from over polished die with raised metal below 18 near denticles. The reverse C3c there is a II O mint mark re-punched with original showing as curved line at top inside and as curved bars at bottom outside left and right sides. There are heavy polishing lines in middle leaves of second, fourth and fifth clusters from top of left wreath.
