You are bidding on a gorgeous BU MS-64+ 1887 P Morgan Dollar with Top 100 Vam 12A (Dbld LIBERTY, Alligator Eye, Clashed Obverse Die st) I-3 more interesting and R-5 rarity rare variety.  The Top 100 Vam 12A  is a more interesting rare variety and is a more desirable to collect and a difficult variety to find, especially in a Binion slabbed case. This 1887 P Morgan Dollar has a really gorgeous luster, superb eye appeal, difficult to find Top 100 Vam 12A variety and will make an outstanding addition to any collection.   

 

Coin Grade and Details: This 1887 P Morgan Dollar is Brilliant Uncirculated MS-64+ grade with a really gorgeous luster, gorgeous contrast, above average strike, very sharp and clear details, well struck clean cheek, very full hairline, very full breast feathers, barely a mark, no rim ding or dents, sharp and clear lettering and date, superior eye appeal, and very desirable difficult to find rare Vam 12A variety.         

 

Vam Description: 1887-P Top 100 VAM-12A Dbld LIBERTY, Alligator Eye, Clashed Obverse Die st Vam 12A Obverse III212 · Reverse C3a (Dbld LIBERTY, Alligator Eye, Clashed Obverse Die st) (190) I-3 higher interest to collectors R-5 rarity rare variety. The obverse III212 the front of eye is doubled, LIBERTY slightly doubled on right side, and ear slightly doubled on right inside. The first three stars on right and all left stars and PLURIB slightly doubled towards rim.  There is a clashed die with partial incuse "st" of Trust from reverse showing in right hair vee of lower hair edge.  The late die states the st is removed from additional clashing and with plateau die crack. There is a faint clashed "n" tick at neck on this coin for sale. Reference: The Update to the Encyclopedia of Morgan and Peace Dollar 4th edition by Leroy C.
