This printed color map is from the first State Atlas of Kansas. The full title is "The Official State Atlas of Kansas, compiled from Government Surveys, County Records and Personal Observations". The atlas was published by L.H. Everts and Company, Philadelphia. Everts & Co did many county atlases, but ths was the only state atlas the company undertook. There are 270 maps in the atlas. Many are 3 and 4 to a page when dealing with smaller towns. There are also 25 laid in large folding maps of what were then the more important cities. The Library of Congress cite for the atlas is LeGear L1368.

Mnay land holdings shown along woht owners names: Hannenkratt, Ricksecker, Fuller, Dymond ( to name a few) and the "Sterling Investment Company". One of the inserted folding maps and on light weight paper, but in VG+ condition.
