1890 Horseshoe Shape Iron Trivet

     This and many more trivets are from one collection and have been hanging in a breakfast room as one collection for 30 years or more. This one is unmistakably noting the year 1890. The sihouette numbers are within a horseshoe shape to denote good luck in the new year (perhaps). Nice handle, too. The casting is very crisp and clean and in great antique condition. No cracks in the metal at all. The pictures are clear and show the details nicely. It is in its original condition and Not rusty, and there are no unsightly pits or corroded areas at all.  It measures 7 3/8" length  and 4 1/8" width and 3/4" height. The handle curves up slightly as you can see in the last picture. Enjoy!
