1890 VICTORIAN CAST IRON TURTLE WIND UP MECHANICAL BELL

Right out of the original New England Estate.

This really is a Great Looking - Very Rare and Unusual Cast Iron Mechanical Bell. Figural Turtle Design / Possibly a Front Desk Hotel Bell ? Dinner Bell ? Door Bell ???. Circa  Aprox. 1890s. Most Likely American in Origin. It has a Wind Up - Clockwork Bell Mechanism. ( See Pictures ). Note! The You Press Down on The Head or Tail to Activate the Bell Mechanism. The Bell Function is Loud - Sounds Like a Old Fashion Telephone Bell Ringing. It has All Original Black Painted Features.  Very Good Detail in the Casting. As you can see in my Photographs the Paint is in VERY GOOD Overall Original Condition.  It is Also in Excellent Working Condition.
