RARE, RARE RARE!!!!!!  The first thing we'd like to mention about this piece is that we talked to the great grandson of the maker and the cast iron pestle that you see sitting on the ground on the left side of the cabinet in the photos is original to this Jackson Center, Ohio drugstore cabinet and the post card and calling card are original as well.  Yes these things come with it.  The grandson said that his great grandfather in the 1890s made this cabinet for his son that opened up a drug store in the late 1890s.  The postcard that you see is the original store this cabinet came out of.  He also mentioned that his great grandmother hand decorated the windows so that she could sell perfumes back in the early 1900s.  THIS WOULD BE GREAT FOR WOMEN THAT COLLECT PERFUME BOTTLES!!!!!  The ten drawers in the base, some do stick a little when pulled out or pushed in but nothing worth talking about.  These drawers are divided so that the great grandfather could go in an select his items of choice to grind up drugs or prescriptions.  This Jackson Center, Ohio store, as I was also told by the grandson, had the towns only drug store, wallpaper store, post office and bank all in one place and his grandfather owned them all.................IT'S GREAT TO HAVE DOCUMENTATION LIKE THIS!!!!....................Again, rare, rare cabinet.  This is all solid oak.  To look at it, this step back cabinet would be a two piece cabinet but this has continous oak cut out step back boards running the full length down each side.  Take notice that there was care and thought taken in making this because the doors are cut out and morticed all the way through at the top.  Great old wavy glass.  Never has been replaced.  This is 86 inches tall.  The top is 9 inches front to back and 13 1/2 front to back at the base.  This piece is 29 1/2 inches wide.  The doors with the original glass and hand stenciling of "perfumes" are 14 1/4 inches wide x 39 1/4 inches tall.  The shelves that held the drugist's bottles and perfumes are 26 1/4 inches wide x 6 3/4 inches front to back.  The top 8 drawers with the original brass pulls are 11 inches wide x 10 3/4 inches front to back and 3 inches deep.  Some of these dividers have been replaced over the years in these drawers.  The lower two drawers measure the same but are 6 inches deep.  Please take notice of the nice old oxidized back, IT'S GREAT!!!!!!  This is a once in a lifetime find with documentation of the Jackson Center, Ohio 1890s, J.B. Zehner family store.  The grandson told us that this store was in business up until 1956 which was 53 years ago.  The grandson has kept this cabinet for this length of time.
