Music Box Maker Presents the following item Antique Swiss 36 note musical porcelain Compote Movement Made in Switzerland, Porcelain is French or German If your speakers are on you will be able to hear a recording of the music box playing the songs. There are several pictures that are loading and the music file. It make take a few minutes for them to load depending on the speed of your computer and connection. Please be patient it will be worth the wait.
click the play button to hear it again This is an antique circa 1890s musical porcelain compote. It has a reticulated design with flowers and gold trim. It has a hand painted river scene. The porcelain is unmarked and the manufacturer is unknown to us. We believe it is French or German. There is some wear to the gold paint. The musical movement is swiss made and features a changing 2 song 36 note movement. I have replaced all the dampers on the note comb and serviced the movement. It is marked with some numbers and a Swiss cross on the govenor assembly. It is in excellent working order. It has the square clock type winding key and a tune label is on the bottom. When the compote is lifted the music begins to play. The music will stop at the end of the song when the compote is place back on the table. If your speakers are on you should hear a recording of it playing. Measurements in inches: Height = 4.125, Diamater = 8.625, Diameter (base) = 4.75. Dimensions given at maximum points. do not make payment until you receive an invoice by separate eBay
message. The shipping calculator will give you an approximate cost
(includes handling) based on an approximate packaged weight. It is not
the exact amount. The exact amount is calculated after we securely
pack the item and know it's exact weight and size. This may be slightly
different than the size and weight data entered into the shipping
calculator. Item(s) will be shipped by USPS within 3 business days from receipt of cleared payment. Successful
Buyers pay for shipping & handling. If the buyer desires double
boxing, there will be a surcharge of $5. There is a minimum $3.00
handling fee on all sales. If an item requires unusual or
special packing the handling fee amount will appear at the beginning
of the main description. Combined Shipping:
multiple purchases can be combined at $3.00 handling for the first
item, plus $1.50 handling per additional item, plus the actual cost of
shipping (based on total value, weight, and size).
Local pick up: Pick ups in Northridge CA are welcome by appointment. The applicable sales tax will be applied to total. Delivery: Local delivery of large or very fragile items is available for a fee based on the destination.
California Sales Tax: Any
item picked up in, delivered to, or shipped to a California
address will be charged 9.75% sales tax unless you have a valid
California resale permit.
Insurance Claims: If an insured item is damaged or lost during shipping buyer agrees cooperate in the filing of an insurance claim at the post office. Buyer is responsible for completing the insurance claim forms and delivering all original packing material including the damaged item to the post office. INTERNATIONAL:
