1892 Large Antique Victorian Bible, Metal Clasps, Rare

This auction is for a fine example of an Antique Victorian Bible. The leather boards are deeply sculpted, skillfully tooled and lavishly gilded in gold. The page edges of this magnificent Bible are edged in gold as well.
The Binding is solid, the hinges are intact and the covers firmly attached, very unusual for a Bible of this age. Please inspect photos closely. There is minimal rubbing and wear on the edges and corners. This is a very usable 116 year old Bible.
The very desirable nickel plated brass clasps are in perfect working order.
As stated it is quite large at 12 1/2" tall by 11" wide and 6" thick. It weighs a hefty 15# . If you want a truly impressive display Bible, this one will amaze.

There are a total of two thousand engravings in all, many are illuminated or full color.
All of the Family pages are present and unmarked.

This Bible is in great condition throughout. The leather has been treated with a preservative to ensure long life and all materials used are Library of Congress compliant.
I always include additional preservative and instructions for it's use at no extra charge.
Treated properly your Bible will last many more generations.

My packaging is first rate. Heavy duty PVC wrap immobilizes the pages and binding, a double, cross wrapped layer of bubble wrap, taped with colored tape ( helps in safely unwrapping), placed in a strong box with cushioning material and the box wrapped with strapping tape.
