This outstanding offering is a complete set of 36 Singer Sewing Machine / Columbian Exposition trade cards. They are contained in the original 1893 Columbian Exposition cardboard box. Although box is complete, it does show some handling wear (see 2nd photo). The 36 trade cards are in MINT condition. They are beautifully executed colors, showing people and costumes from 36 different countries (that existed in 1893), with Singer Sewing Machines dominant in each scene. Each scene is marked "Copyright 1892 by the Singer Sewing Machine Co." at the bottom.
I randomly selected one card to show the quality of the lithography. The back of each card has a brief explanation about the country featured on the front, as well as a reference to Singer machines. This is a seldom offered complete set of 36 cards, complete with original box.
Good luck with your bid!
