How I wish I had been there when this stuff was the cat’s meow of farming and progressive living. Living in a world where the greatest complexity was simply which new life choice to make that would, with a little honest work, make you and your family secure and prosperous, must have been joyous.

Today our world seems always to have so many layers of complexity arising and abounding at every turn we take or every new view or news story we intake.

No wonder folks delight in and celebrate simple study and understandable tools made of iron and steel and designed to be attached or a horse or powered my human muscle and will power.

Yes, this is what Deere implements was like in the old days, and it is wonderfully affirming to know that firms can grow from making simple things to complex but reliable machines that kept pace, and in fact, drove progress in agriculture and the American farm business and family communities.

America owes a debt to these firms who made the tools that made America and a start and chief amongst them is Deere.

So, here it is, history on the hoof, great drawings, fun to look at, useful for agri-historians, or a delight for collectors to have to identify implements they own are might want.
