This fascinating book titled Anomalies and Curiosities of Medicine - Being an encyclopedic collection of rare and extraordinary cases, and of the most striking instances of abnormality in all branches of medicine and surgery, derived from an exhaustive research of medical literature from its origin to the present day, abstracted, classified, annotated, and indexed by George M. Gould and Walter L. Pyle was originally published in 1896. This is a 1956 reprint issued by the Julian press. There are 18 chapters and 968 pages including the index, with 296 illustrations in the text and 12 half-tone plates.

This book covers everything from menstruation of the breast to "three headed monsters." A most intriguing read guaranteed to satisfy hours of the morbid curiosity in all of us!

The copy is in near fine condition with light bumping to edges. The dust jacket is in near fine condition with slight edge wear.
