1896 Chart of The World w Ocean Currents - 2 Pages

This is a very rare and very nice large 1896 Chart of The World On Mercator's Projection - a very nice Map of the World.  This map is a double page attached map and measures 17.5" x 12" approximately.  The map shows known ocean currents in light red.   

Note that at the top of the map Longitude is measured from Greenwich and at the bottom of the map Longitude is measured from Washington (assumes DC).   

The overall size of the double page map is approximately 22" x 14.5".  The scans are scans of half of the page with some overlapping so you can see the entire page.

The date of the map - 1896 - is not printed on the map itself - we are in possession of the title page which has all publishing information.  A scan of the title page can be sent by email upon request.

Condition: VERY GOOD with foxing especially around the edges.  Small edge tears.  The page may have tiny edge tears (will matt out) along the bound edge.
