A gorgeous and fun 1897 Mettlach Stein #1478- Etched Chromolith with an inlaid lid of grapes. Of Gnomes at work in various stages of planting grapes and making wine. Also impressed "Gegen Nachbildung Geschutzt" . It measures 8" tall and is in excellent mint condition. My information comes from the Mettlach Book by Gary Kirsner 1987 Edition.
Everything I have listed this week and for some weeks to come, came from an estate here in Lawrenceville. A lady that was 93 years old passed away and all of her items are being auctioned. Her husband died years before and they didn't have any children. It almost looks like everything she had was from the early 1900's (or before) to the 1960's. All very high end items.
Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
