Illumuninated pages of an 18th or 19th Century Arabic Ottoman Koran with 14K gold illumination,written in a very fine Nasih script,21 lines per page on "Durable" paper, 177 x 111 mm.Durable paper is handmade Laid paper treated with egg white and starch to give a polished and uniform writing surface.Sura endings illuminated in gold and a beautiful floral device is present on the Gallery photo.Also many very fine lines of commentary on all sides of the pages. These pages were written by a mastercraftsman caligrapher and are an art object in their own right.Please check my shipping costs.They are much more reasonable than my competition.
