This is an Original 18th century French document from the mid-eighteenth century: a single-page Business Letter from Paris, dated "1763". Letter size: approx. 6 1/4" by 8". The letter is folded to form an Stampless Cover/Envelope, which has been addressed. Written in brown ink on beige/tan paper. Very Nice Condition. ....This Ms. (handwritten) letter has the beautiful, old-style "script" writing + signature. It is clearly dated "a Paris le 4 Avril 1763". In addition, and far more importantly, this letter/cover still bears it's Original RED WAX SEAL, complete and Intact!!! It is VERY Unusual to find complete wax seals, as they break easily! This particular seal mimics an ancient Roman coin, and has the head of a God or Roman Emperor on it. Very detailed and Truly Beautiful! Frameable/Displayable! Low beginning bid! A Really GREAT antique document, today 246 years old! Low beginning hid! Buyer pays $1.95S&H, higher for Air Mail postage outside the U.S. ***Please see scans. I am showing scans of the Letter + Folded Cover, as well as scans of the wax seal. The faint image is caused by my scanner; this letter/cover are clearly written and Not pale or faint! |
