1900 Antoine Courtois Brevete Cornet w/ Original Case

This listing features an unbelievable very early Antoine Courtois Brevete Cornet. As you can see, it comes with the original wood case with all the original early dated stickers and medallions still on the inside. Earliest date on the cornet itself is 1862 and the latest date at the bottom is 1900. The wood case still has the original clasps, handle and hinges intact and it’s clearly marked also on the outside. The wood is cracked across the top (see photo) but that just seems to add to the personality of the case. I really do not have any info on the history of the piece but I’m certain that it will need a good cleanup and general maintenance. I’ve tried to add a lot of photos so you can clearly see this unique very early Courtois piece. .
