1900-0 VAM-29A Heavy Die Break From Rim Through 19 Of The Date

JUST BACK FROM LEROY VAN ALLEN IS THIS AU VAM 29A. I DONT HAVE TO TELL YOU HOW RARE AN AU IS IN THIS VARIETY! ALSO VERY LATE DIE STATE WITH BIGGER DIE BREAKS IN DATE TOTALLY MAGNIFICENT I-4 R-7 VARIETY. TOUGH TO FIND ANY BETTER!  A COPY OF THE VAN ALLEN NOTES WILL BE INCLUDED IF DESIRED.

This VAM has a die break from the denticles running almost horizontally through the bottom of the date. Late die states have a huge break with lots of metal pushing upward. It is very distinctive.

Unfortunately, early die states of the break are not as bold and can be confused with the VAM-35A. Complicating this issue is the fact that the VAM-29A brings a significant premium when sold where the VAM-35A usually does not. VAM-29A is seldom, if ever, found in mint state and the VAM-35A can be found in high grades. The VAM-35A is not actually a die break but rather a die crack. No metal was significantly displaced as happened in the late stages of the VAM-29A.
