1903 1903a3 stock BUTTPLATE, Remington marked "R"

These are more ORIGINAL USGI items for sale by THE COLLECTOR SOURCE!

The auction is for ONE buttplate from a sealed box dated "June 1, 1944". 

These are new, old stock Remington buttplates for the 1903 and 1903A3 rifle that have been pulled from the original sealed box.

They were made during WWII and have never been installed on a rifle or removed from the box. I included a pic of the packing slip where Remington packed them "June 1 1944". A few days after these were packed the workers would be listening to the DDay landing news on the radio.

These buttplates are covered in thick, goey grease. I cleaned off the one pictured so you could see what they look like. You will receive one in the green greasy wrap shown.

They have the original blued finish and have an "R" stamped on the back side.

These Remington buttplates are in Mint condition.
