Description:

     This beautiful print entitled Little Housemaid was from volume a rare children’s book published by McLoughlin Bros. in 1903. By the late 19^th century, the technique of Chromolithography has become matured. Many beautiful illustrations were produced in the period by the McLoughlin Brothers Firm of New York. This interesting print not only showed vividly the contemporary attitude towards girls but also the excellent printing technology of Chromolithograph where each stone had to be aligned perfectly to produce such delicate expression of colors.
