WASHINGTON SENATORS CATCHER - EXTREMELY TOUGH POSTCARD ISSUE

This auction is for a 1907-09 Novelty Cutlery PC805 vintage baseball postcard picturing the Washington Senators Catcher - Charley "Gabby" Street. Gabby had the challenge of trying to catch the flame throwing fastball of Walter Johnson. This extremely tough postcard issue of Gabby is in very nice collectible condition being well centered with a strong central image of him in vintage catching gear against a stadium backdrop. It does have slightly frayed / dinged corners, an edge ding on the right border and a couple of edge stains on the postally unused back. It has been professionally graded by Sportscard Guaranty an SGC 40 or VERY GOOD 3.
