South Jersey Realty Company   Beach Front Improvement Bond, issued May 10, 1909

The South Jersey Realty Company was founded in Stone Harbor, New Jersey in 1905 by Horace S. Risley, who has signed this piece as the company President. The company is considered to be responsible for developing Stone Harbor into a popular tourist destination.
Interesting text is listed in the bond’s body:
”…such bonds shall bear to the total net proceeds of the sale or redemption of certain Beach Front Lots and the accretions and additions thereto, that may be formed by the gradual recession of the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, situate at Seven Mile Beach in Middle Township, Cape May County, New Jersey…”
I wonder how that worked out?
