VERY CONSISTENTLY GRADED - MISSING 3 COMMONS
This auction is for a 1910 Complete Near Set including 27 out of the 30 cards in the set. The set is missing three commons for completion - Al Bridwell, Chief Meyers and Bill Dahlen - and is in very consistent condition with all cards showing very nice eye appeal and all receiving numeric grades. Even though the cards have received low grades technically, the backs of 10 of the cards are clean similar to the Mathewson card and the backs of 8 of the others have a tiny spot or two or paper loss similar to the Young and Wagner cards. The other nine card backs have more loss like the Cobb or other back problems - tape, stamps, etc. The cards have all been professionally graded with 21 by Sportscard Guaranty (SGC), 4 by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) and 2 by Global Authentication, Inc (GAI).
The set with the individual card details is as follows:
SGC 30 - 6 cards - Wagner (Orange), Young (Green), Bresnahan (Blue - clean back), Walsh (Red - small spot of paper loss on back), Bender (Orange - small spot of paper loss on back), Chase (Blue - three small spots of paper loss on back)
PSA 2 - 3 cards - Lajoie (Green - tiny spot of paper loss on back), Chance (Blue - clean back), Collins (Red - partially erased pencil checks on back)
GAI 2 - 1 card - Dooin (Green - spots of paper loss and stamp on back)
SGC 20 - 4 cards - McGraw (Green - clean back), Mathewson (Blue - clean back), Coombs (Red - "Jan. 1 - 1914" stamped on back), Mullin (Blue - extra paper / tape attached to right edge on back)
PSA 1 - 1 card - Clarke (Blue - clean back - probably 1.5 on a regrade)
SGC 10 - 11 cards - Cobb (Red), Mack (Blue - clean back), Tinker (Orange - stained back), Brown (Green - tiny spot of paper loss on back), Jennings (Red - tiny spot of paper loss on back), Evers (Orange - three spots of paper loss on back), McLean (Orange - tiny spot of paper loss on back), Ford (Orange - stain spot on back), Vaughn (Green - clean back), Tenney (Green - a couple of tiny spots of paper loss on the back), Davis (Orange - spot of paper loss with surface scuffing on back)
GAI 1 - 1 card - Kling (Green - paper loss over 75% of the back with pencil marks).
