RARE1910's CRYSTAL WEDDING CAKE CHANDELIER

Up for auction is a RARE 1910's chandelier. This is truly ELABORATE and pictures do not do it justice in any way! This is a hard one to try and capture the beauty on pictures. It is a high quality chandelier The chandelier frame is VERY ornate in design and retains the beautiuful aged patina. It has a high lead content and I believe it to be fine quality pewter. This has GORGEOUS victorian designs with swags and various designs. The center section has a wedding cake chandelier with four tiers. The top tier has 42 crystal prisms, the next tier has 33, the third tier has 24 and the last tier has 13. Total of 112 prisms and a faucted ball dangling down from the center. The wedding cake portion of the chandelier takes two light bulbs. The outside of the chandelier takes five lights for a total of seven lights. This is very unique in design and the outside can take either bulbs or shades! I have showed pictures with some shades and with bulbs to try and give you idea of the beauty of both. (shades or bulbs not included)The outside lights can be turned off and on individually so that just the wedding cake portion can be lit if desired. This is a sight to behold lit or un-lit but when lit it is BREATHTAKING! The chandelier has been completely rewired with UL approved wiring retaining the original sockets and the switches are marked. CH. The main frame to the chandelier is made up of five individual castings masterfully assembled by old school craftsman and each individually marked Robert Findlay Mfg. Co. Brooklyn New York Pat. Pending. The chandelier has the original beautiful ceiling canopy and quality chain links alternating with round and square links. The chandelier has a hang of 44 1/2" and can be shortened up to 14". It is 22" in diameter. The winning bidder is sure to be very pleased and is offered with no reserve. A beautiful chandelier to cherish in your period decor!
