This is an Original US Military WWI Cavalry Horse Saddle. It is marked "12 Inch Seat" on the Brass Seat Plate, "Clinton ... 1917" on One Side Round Leather Piece, "AH329 ... R-S ... 1917 ... H.J." on the Other , "M.D. Co. ... US" on the Bottom of One Stirp and "US ... N.S. ... 1913" on the Botton of the Other. The Saddle is in Pretty Good Shape for it's Age. The Leather has No Holes, the Stitching is in Good Shape, the Sheep's Wool Pads are Good, and it has All the Brass Pieces that are in Good Shape. The Stirps are Nickel-Plated Cast Steel. There is One Leather Strap Broken under One Stirp. The Seat Leather has Some Pressed Indents probably Resting on Something over the Years. The Name "Clinton" probably is the Manufacturer and "AH329" is probably the Serial Number. I am Unsure what "R-S ... H.J. ... N.S." stand for. The WWI Cavalry Saddle is a Pretty Interesting Piece that Displays Well. For Shipping Cost use the Provided UPS Calculator(packaged weight is 21lbs).
